My 9th consecutive NYCC. Here are the panels I attended…

The Impractical Jokers’ Foolproof Plan-el
These guys are making it cool to be from Staten Island. You all know how disappointed I was that I missed their panel last year, so the first thing I did when I arrived at The Jacob Javits Center was get my badge tapped for this panel. We in the audience got to view some never before seen behind the scenes footage. They announced their Impractical Jokers cruise for next year. Trading cards were given out as well as their own brand of ChapStick. Also, we were informed that we could choose who gets punished during their next live punishment special by voting on social media. #PunishMurr

Archer: Screening/Q&A
Lana!!! Another panel I’ve been trying to attend for years. Held at the Hammerstein Ballroom. There were cast members H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, and Lucky Yates. Also, Executive Producer Matt Thompson and Co-Executive Producer Casey Willis. I’ve seen H. Jon Benjamin twice before at “Bob’s Burgers” panels, but seeing him with the “Archer” crew was a long time coming. Aisha Tyler took a minute to declare her love for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” Suck it, haters. I had no idea that the upcoming 8th season will be a reboot. No longer an espionage show, the next season will about a private detective avenging the death of his partner in 1947.

Harley Quinn: Past, Present, and Future
It was the year of Harley Quinn without question as the character dominated the cosplay, especially on Friday. There were Harley Quinn’s as far as the eye could see. Arleen Sorkin, the inspiration and the original voice of the character on “Batman: The Animated Series,” couldn’t be there in person, but she did record a message, thanking the fans for their years of support. There was also a Harley Quinn cosplay contest after the panel, which I intended to record, but my camera glitched out for some reason. I was salty about that for the rest of the day. Sometimes, you just can’t catch a break. I guess the joke was on me.

This was the second year in a row I’ve attended the “Gotham” panel. It’s hard to believe they’re already up to season three. Robin Lord Taylor is beloved by the fans of the series. He couldn’t help but compare The Penguin’s mayoral campaign to our current presidential race. I don’t talk about politics in this blog, but real life is looking way scarier than Gotham City these days. Erin Richards arrived a few minutes late for the panel, but we were happy to see her. Barbara has been stealing the show ever since the character went nutso. David Mazouz brought out his dog, who was dressed as Robin. Okay, that’s awesome.

justice-league-dark-movieJustice League Dark – Exclusive First Look
Matt Ryan is back as John Constantine, reprising his role in the upcoming animated film. Joining him on the panel was Jason O’Mara, the voice of Batman. Justice League Dark will focus on the supernatural elements of the DC Universe with the regular members of the JLA playing supporting roles. We got to see three exclusive clips from the film, which does not yet have a release date. Early 2017 is all we know. The moderator teased that we’d see a clip featuring Swamp Thing, but the clip ended right before the reveal of Swamp Thing. I can’t believe we were trolled like that. Nevertheless, “Justice League Dark” looks really cool.
